If you’re actually having your trainees write proposals, then you have my congratulations: most nominal grant writing training programs forget this essential step, which is why we’ve denigrated them in posts like this one and its successors. Just good writing is not enough. Knowing the professional way, the effective way, to write grants, is an invaluable tool and possibly the most important function a ReServist, or anyone, could perform for their benefit.
