Celebration of the Laura Traynor Circle of Life Award

Last December, ReServe’s Executive Director, Laura Traynor, lost her battle to cancer. Laura’s creativity was demonstrated in many new initiatives; one of the efforts that she was most proud of was the Dementia Care Coaching project. Laura had a vision and created this new “product” out of whole cloth. She designed it, tested it and was able to secure funding from a managed care entity, several foundations and private pay — leaving a sustainable model. To honor Laura’s commitment to this program, every year ReServe will award a Dementia Care Coach with the Laura Traynor Circle of Life Award. The first award recipient is ReServist, Cristina Pastor, who has served diligently as a Dementia Care Coach since the program’s inception in 2014.
